Our Bread

 All our bread is made is a traditional way, using water, salt and a naturally cultured levain (sourdough starter) or Yeast. It takes between 24 and 48 hours to make our delicious bread, because we use a slow fermentation process giving our bread taste and structure. When bread is made using the age-old tradition of time, it is much easier to digest, and the yeast has time to breakdown the proteins in the flour, so not only is our bread totally delicious it’s also easy to digest.

We source our flour from Marriages Millers, a family run business which has been producing excellent quality flours for almost 200 years!

We do not use any flour improvers or additives.

Most of our breads are vegan (all vegan breads are marked with a v)

We can also slice all and wrap breads free of charge.

We bake Tuesdays – Saturdays and have a selection of breads available daily including White Sourdough, White Boule, Wholemeal, Five Seeds and Oat and Focaccia with Italian Herbs and Sea Salt.

We are more than happy to make breads to order including Wholemeal Sourdough, Rye Sourdough and Spelt Sourdough which we require 48 hours notice for.  Chocolate Bread, Olive & Herb Bread and Cheesy Bread can be ordered with 24 hours notice.   

We provide Gluten Free white bread on Thursdays and require 48 hours notice.

Rye Sourdough (v)

INGREDIENTS: Whole grain rye flour, water, a little salt & a rye levain.

White Sourdough (v) (ve)

INGREDIENTS: Unbleached white flour, water, a little salt and a natural levain.

Organic Spelt Bread (v) (ve)

INGREDIENTS: Organic Spelt flour, water, a little salt and a natural levain.

Wholemeal Sourdough (v)(ve)

INGREDIENTS:  Wholemeal flour, water, a little salt and a natural levain.

Secret Breads…

Every Saturday we run a Secret Bread – we announce it on facebook and Instagram, they are amazing and keep our valued customers with variety and unusual breads to try out!

Yeasted Breads…

White Boule (v) (ve)

INGREDIENTS:  Unbleached white flour, water, yeast, and  a little salt.

Wholemeal Bread (v) (ve)

INGREDIENTS: Unbleached white flour, water, yeast, and  a little salt.

Cheesy bread (v)

INGREDIENTS: Unbleached white flour, water, yeast, a little salt and cheese.

Five Seeds & Oats (v) (ve)

INGREDIENTS: Malthouse (Granary) flour, water, yeast, Sunflower Seeds, Pumpkin Seeds, Linseeds, Sesame Seeds, Poppy Seeds honey and a little salt.

Chocolate Bread (v)

INGREDIENTS: Unbleached white flour, water, yeast, a little salt and milk chocolate.

Focaccia (v) (ve)

INGREDIENTS: Unbleached white flour, water, yeast, a little salt and olive oil (plus any toppings).
